This SIGCHI Melbourne local chapter builds a forum that enables practitioners, learners, and leaders with university, corporate, or startup backgrounds to exchange ideas and best practices and grow their networks.
The SIGCHI Melbourne Chapter is the local home for the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) community in Victoria, Australia. We provide a collaborative platform for researchers, designers, and practitioners to explore the intersection of technology, design, and human experience. By hosting showcases, networking events, and workshops, we bridge the gap between academic innovation and industry practice, fostering a vibrant ecosystem for the future of digital health, social informatics, and inclusive design.
We are a growing group of UXers interested in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and HCI folks interested in User experience and Design. Together, we build a bridge between UX and HCI, between industry and academia, in Melbourne and across Australia. If you are a UX, HCI, ID, or UI designer working, studying or researching in Melbourne and would like to join the Chapter, membership is free this year.
