Presentation Abstract:
Human-centred Future of Work with AI
Artificial Intelligence and automation are driving the ongoing 4th industrial revolution. While it is estimated to increase profits of business owners, it may also lead to decreased wellbeing of the rest of the society. No wonder ILO, IEEE, and European Commission now call for human-centred future of work and prioritization of human wellbeing in the 5th industrial revolution. In this talk, Virpi Roto shares her vision of human-centred future of work with AI and automated systems. Taking a design perspective, she analyses some guidelines for ethical AI and provides elementary design guidance for human wellbeing in Industry 5.0.
